COSTA RICA

An unspoilt sanctuary for some of the world’s most spectacular wildlife – a luxury Costa Rica holiday will have you trekking, scuba diving and ziplining through fragrant tropical rainforests, spellbinding volcano canyons and glorious paradise beaches.

Home to around 5% of the world’s plant and animal species, Costa Rica is best known for its dedication to Ecotourism and continued preservation of its biodiverse landscapes.

Walk along one of the suspension bridges of Manuel Antonio or Monteverde National Park straight into the heart of a natural world alive with howler monkeys, bright billed toucans, dazzling hummingbirds and lethargic sloths. Here you can rope-swing through the canopies, bathe in the natural waterfalls and raft along the rapids of the lakes.

Serene and majestic, Arenal Volcano lies sleepily grumbling. Trek along one of its old lava flows on a wildlife-spotting adventure, have a dip in one of the hot springs or take a thrilling sky tram for astounding aerial views. Towards to coast, the warm tropical waters of the Pacific and the Caribbean await, home to spectacular surf, enchanting dives and hours of sun-blushed beachside paradise.

Whether you are being welcomed, thanked or waved goodbye, locals will frequently use the term ‘pura vida’, meaning ‘pure life’. Never was a saying so fitting, so ingrained in a way of life, and so true.
